a Quest for Clarity

An axiom of clarity says that if you don’t know what you want one of two things will be true: either nothing will do, or anything will do.

Marcus Winn gets a frantic call from his project manager that he and his team must create a compelling presentation to save their project’s funding, but no one can give him a clear reason why. Marcus discovers a series of questions to help his team clarify their purpose and find a way forward.

While on this quest for clarity, Marcus is confronted to clarify other issues that he had not expected to explore. When it gets personal, he finds the same questions apply.

Use the discussion questions at the end of the story for self-study, group discussion, and book clubs.
