“Self-discovery is the stepping stone to an INPowering life. Seek, and you will find.”
Thoughts are things
Our thoughts shape our actions. We can program ourselves for INPowerment when we select what we will think about and how we will think about living our lives.
I hope these sayings and my audio commentary about them will help you become more INPowered at home, at work, and in your community.
My library includes hundreds of INPowering Thoughts produced over the years. You can select a category of interest and view the posts I have added in that category. Enjoy.
Beware the influences that sway you.
Influences are not always obvious. It takes a trained eye to recognize them before they can do irreversible damage.
Your character is what you make of your soul
Our character contributes to the character of the world around us, whether the family, the workplace, the neighborhood, whatever your sphere of influence might be.
Know what you want, and why
We have all been stuck in place with indecision, wondering which path to choose. We have evidence to inform us if only we will take time to consider it honestly.
You are, and that is enough.
We say we want to matter. Our anxiety comes from trying so hard to be noticed. We insist on looking in all the wrong places.
Your character speaks
How do we determine what character traits make up a person? Listen to their speech.
Show honor
We pause from our busy lives to esteem those worthy of honor. To be credible, we establish standards for honor and protect them from being corrupted.
Learn how to
The INPowered demonstrate the INLIghtened mind by applying knowledge to a task to develop a skill that can be used to create a intentional result.
Stopping is part of moving forward
Stopping to admit a change is necessary and committing to a different tactic can be the difference between success or failure, or between a great project and a mediocre one.
Be true to your conscience
We all know we have an internal voice either encouraging us or tormenting us as it informs us regarding our decisions and actions.
Develop your athlete’s heart
The INPowered athlete’s heart welcomes the competitor who tests them, the critic who objectively judges them, and the coach who molds them.
Avoid the scoffer
The scoffer ridicules, belittles, and bullies his adversaries, trash-talking their ideals and values out of his own arrogance and pride.
Practice living
Continual practice results in habitual behavior. Behavior that becomes so second nature to us that we might not be self-aware of who we have become, or when.
